December 3, 2025
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Cost: $225 per person
This workshop is designed for teachers who want to better understand what makes a math intervention successful. Join us to explore using standards-based progressions to identify learning gaps and design targeted supports that help students build lasting understanding.
Define the Characteristics of Effective Interventions
Understand what makes math interventions impactful by focusing on sense-making, engagement, and conceptual growth rather than repetitive practice.
Pinpoint Foundational Gaps Using Standards Progressions
Analyze key mathematical concepts through vertical standards progressions to identify the foundational skills students may have missed or underdeveloped.
Design Conceptual Lessons Using the CRA Sequence
Develop intervention lessons that move from concrete to representational to abstract, ensuring deep understanding and lasting retention.
Leverage the Mathematical Practice Standards
Use selected Practice Standards to guide intervention design, emphasizing reasoning, problem-solving, and communication.
Facilitate and Assess Student Thinking
Create discourse-rich intervention spaces where students explain, justify, and critique reasoning, and use formative assessments to uncover conceptual misunderstandings.
