These learning opportunities are designed to support school teams who have completed the TIG/CISM training series to keep their skills fresh so they will have greater confidence when faced with a critical incident in their system. Teams will have the opportunity to create and receive feedback on a response plan for the specific scenario.

Session Overview

In the morning there will be Scenario Practicing of Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.
In the afternoon there will be Scenario Practicing of Defusing.

Outcomes

Refresh learning on critical TIG/CISM concepts
Scenario presentation with team time to develop a response/support plan
Receive feedback to build confidence when you need to deploy your skills

Details

CESA 6 is committed to providing accessible, quality support for school crisis prevention and intervention teams. Cost for each day is $25 to cover the cost of facilities use and food. Lunch will be served at 12:00.
REQUIRED PREREQUISITE: Participants must have already completed one of the following ICISF courses: Group Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) or CISM Managing School Crisis
All in person events are hosted at the CESA 6 Conference Center 2300 WI HWY 44 Oshkosh, WI
Participants can register for one or all of the individual events. Team participation is strongly encouraged.

Cancellations for Events

Participant Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing events@cesa6.org. Registrants who cancel at least 14 calendar days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable service or material fees. Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the event. Participants who do not attend without prior notice ("no call, no show") will be charged the full event fee.

Event Changes or Cancellations by CESA 6: CESA 6 reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. Participants will be notified promptly via email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future event.

Registration Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same organization at no additional cost. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the event start date to request a transfer.
