Join us for an engaging and practical professional development focused on building participants’ confidence and skills in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and creating effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as both a support in a tiered system and through a special education lens.

Morning: With Katherine Smith, Statewide FBA Trainer, learn the step-by-step FBA process and how to build a usable BIP with evidence-based strategies that foster collaboration with staff, families, and students.

Afternoon: Bring a real case and develop your FBA and BIP with on-the-spot coaching.

Outcomes

• Define the purpose and process of Functional Behavioral Assessments
• Identify and define target beaviors
• Describe techniques for gathering and analyzing behavioral data
• Determine strategies for developing proactive, student-centered Behavior Intervention Plans
• Compare ways to monitor progress and make data-driven adjustments

Alternative payment methods of a purchase order may be approved under the following circumstances:

• Registration fees exceed $1,000
• A specific funding source is being used (e.g., Title funds)
• Your school district requires use of an internal payment process

Please note if an alternative payment is needed, a purchase order must be received before your registration can be confirmed. All registrations must be finalized before the event date.
