This one-day workshop is designed to support educators in creating high-impact, student-centered Personal Reading Plans (PRPs) that move beyond compliance and lead to meaningful, sustainable instructional change. Participants will deepen their understanding of how to design reading plans that are responsive, data-informed, and aligned to the science of reading, while remaining practical and manageable in real classrooms. Emphasis is placed on building systems and routines that promote consistency, ownership, and long-term impact.

To support learning into the practice, the workshop includes three one-hour virtual support sessions following the in-person experience. These sessions provide structured opportunities for reflection, collaboration, and coaching as participants implement their plans. Educators will refine their PRPs, troubleshoot challenges, and strengthen sustainable practices that support ongoing student growth.

OBJECTIVES

• Identify high-quality, sustainable PRP writing practices.

• Evaluate strengths and areas of opportunities within the process of writing and managing personal reading plans.

• Interpret assessment data and translate it into specific actionable goals that match a student's instructional needs.

• Determine next steps in making PRP writing and monitoring manageable within existing systems.

• Explore real-world application through case studies and collaborative problem-solving.
