Phase 1: Assessing the Current Landscape
Format: In-person at CESA (4 Hours): We will facilitate a comprehensive audit of your current math program, focusing on:
*Access & Equity: Evaluating course availability and enrollment barriers.
*Instructional Alignment: Confirming coverage of WI State Standards and teacher assignments.
*Targeted PD: Professional development focused on 9th-grade foundational courses, 4th-year options, and equitable practices.
Phase 2: Deep Dive & Tiered Support
Format: Flexible (Monitored, Virtual, or In-District): Schools will engage in a rigorous reflection process tailored to their specific needs. Support includes:
*Systemic Analysis: Identifying and dismantling barriers to student success.
*Pathway Innovation: Exploring and developing new course sequence options.
*Standards Alignment: Ensuring rigorous adherence to state benchmarks.
Phase 3: Synthesis & Implementation
Format: In-person at CESA (4 Hours): The final phase brings all participants together to finalize their strategic shifts:
*Collaborative Reflection: Sharing decisions and insights gained from individual school systems.
*Stakeholder Communication: Developing clear strategies to inform parents, students, and staff.
*Action Planning: Establishing concrete next steps for a successful rollout.
OBJECTIVES
- Analyze current math course sequences to identify gaps in alignment with Wisconsin State Standards.
- Identify and mitigate systemic barriers that prevent equitable student access to high-level mathematics.
- Design modernized 9th-grade and 4th-year math pathways that cater to diverse student career and college goals.
- Evaluate staff capacity and instructional needs to support new course offerings effectively.
- Develop a comprehensive stakeholder communication plan to ensure transparency and community buy-in for pathway changes.
- Establish a regional network of math leaders to share best practices and cross-district solutions.

CESA 6 Payment Policy for Event Registrations
CESA 6 accepts credit card payments for all event registrations. If you are unable to complete your registration using a credit card, please contact events@cesa6.org for assistance with alternative arrangements.
Please note if an alternative payment is needed, a purchase order must be received before your registration can be confirmed. All registrations must be finalized before the event date.
Alternative payment methods may be approved under the following circumstances:
- Registration fees exceed $1000
- A specific funding source is being used (e.g., Title funds)
- Your school district requires use of an internal payment process
Cancellations for Events
Participant Cancellations: Cancellations must be submitted in writing by emailing events@cesa6.org. Registrants who cancel at least 14 calendar days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any non-refundable service or material fees. Cancellations received 7 to 13 calendar days before the event will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 7 calendar days of the event. Participants who do not attend without prior notice ("no call, no show") will be charged the full event fee.
Event Changes or Cancellations by CESA 6: CESA 6 reserves the right to change or cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to low enrollment, presenter availability, or other factors beyond our control. Participants will be notified promptly via email and offered either a full refund or a credit toward a future event.
Registration Transfers: Registrations may be transferred to another individual from the same organization at no additional cost. Please contact us at least 48 hours before the event start date to request a transfer.
